Writing a dissertation introduction is no easy task! At this workshop, Ciara Kierans (AIAS Fellow and University of Liverpool) and Heather Swanson (AU CEH) will present strategies for approaching the unique challenges that accompany this part of the PhD. The event is aimed at Arts PhD students who are currently writing dissertations; however, we also welcome early career scholars who are interested in either supervision strategies or inspiration for writing book intros.

The workshop will require pre-reading sample dissertation introductions; these will be circulated to those who sign-up for the event. Please note, the event is limited to 14 participants. If need be, priority will be given to participants focusing on environmental humanities topics.
