Meet our visiting scholar: Wendy Chua
Wendy will be visiting CEH in May 2023
CEH is happy to welcome Wendy Chua, for a short visiting scholar stay from 1-9 May 2023. Wendy is a designer who takes an anthropologist's lens to design for social and environmental impact through products, experiences and services. She is also a design educator who crafts creative pedagogies, such as early childhood sensorial workshops and speculative design methods for tertiary students. Through future narratives, she curates and designs exhibitions for museums such as the Red Dot Design Museum and the National Design Center of Singapore.
Currently based in Berlin, Wendy is writing her thesis dissertation on sensing climate precarity through harmful algal blooms, as part of the Masters in Open Design program at the Humboldt University of Berlin. This program is part of the Matters of Activity research cluster where she can explore the boundaries between fields through interdisciplinary approaches.
