Organizer
During the last couple of semesters, CEH has successfully hosted a series of symposiums, providing students and junior researchers with an opportunity to present their work in an informal and generous space. This semester, we will repeat this format!
Accordingly, it is with great pleasure that we extend this open invitation to all Aarhus University-based MA students, PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers working on or interested in environmental topics to join our Junior Scholar Symposium on November 21st. The event is a great opportunity not only to meet the CEH community, learn more the center, and meaningfully engage with the in-progress work of fellow researchers, but also – if you would like to – to present and share your own work and ideas with like-minded scholars.
We already have two contributors on the day’s program; CEH visiting scholars Beatrice Barlozzari and Femke Vulto who will introduce their respective PhD projects.
We hope many more entries will follow, so please consider participating. Contributions of all sorts are welcome at the symposium – whether it be on a finished or on-going project, a new idea, an article that you are writing, a conundrum you are thinking about and would like to discuss with others, or something entirely different. We also welcome all kinds of formats, although we do encourage presentations to open up for dialogue.
If you would like to attend without sharing anything, you are more than welcome, too. We would love to have you among us! Everyone is welcome to attend.
After the symposium, we will have a small, informal reception with snacks and drinks before heading out for dinner somewhere in the city, courtesy of CEH. If you would like to join us for dinner, please register when you sign up for the symposium.
Registration
For practical reasons, registration for the symposium is required for all (please follow the link above). Make sure to state if you want to with us, including any dietary considerations.
If you would like to present, we kindly ask you to also reach out to us through ceh@cas.au.dk. Please include a short description of what you would like to share, how you would like to do so, and a time slot that seems suitable (anything between 5-45 minutes).
For more info or any inquiries, please contact CEH research assistant Andreas Thyrsted Laursen (anth@cas.au.dk).
